Fast Facts

While marketing departments have long relied on consultants and contractors to handle a variety of tasks, the notion of using a staffing agency to hire interim marketers is only slowly catching on. Here are some interesting facts that we uncovered when surveying hiring managers about this:

  • Managers in larger organization (500+ employees) tend to see the value in using staffing firms, with 73% saying they believe staffing firms can help them increase their capacity to get things done.
  • People at large organizations, although not necessarily more likely to hire someone through a staffing agency, are more likely to use a staffing agency to find their next position. They are also more likely to do so if they are under the age of 35.
  • In addition to the belief that interim marketers can bring a fresh, new perspective, as well provide needed relief to over-burdened permanent staff, respondents felt that interim marketers could “get up to speed” faster because they have experience doing so.
